If your system does not have Windows 7 SP1 installed, you can install it via Windows Update. Here are the steps.
1. Open Windows Update
First, please press the Windows Start button. Then type Windows Update in the search field. If you’ve found it, click Windows Update.
2. Check for updates
After Windows Update appears, you can click the Check for Updates button to start looking for the SP1 update file on your Windows 7 system.
3. Wait for the Update Search Process
Then wait a while until Windows Update finds the update file.
Examples of filenames are Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB976932). Click the Install Updates button if you have.
4. Check Installation
After completing the installation, you can restart the PC or laptop that was used first.
Then open the System feature in Windows search to check whether SP1 is already installed on your Windows 7 or not.
If so, the name Service Pack 1 will appear in the Windows Edition column.
How to Install Windows 7 SP1 With Offline Installer
In addition to Windows Update, you can also install SP1 offline.
Here you have to prepare the SP1 file. The advantage of this method is that the installation file can be saved.
So if you need it at any time, you can install SP1 again without the need for the update.
Here’s how to install Windows 7 SP1 with the offline installer :
1. Run SP1 With Administrator Rights
First of course you must already have the SP1 file first. To file it can find on the official Microsoft website.
If so, please right-click the file and select Run as Administrator. If there is a User Account Control notification, you can click Yes to continue the installation process.
Make sure your SP1 file matches the operating system architecture. For example, my Windows 7 architecture is 32 bit, so the update file is SP1 X86.
2. Start Installing Service Pack 1

3. Wait until the installation process is complete
